IT ProPortal - SellerDeck Business 2013 review
Thursday 21 Feb, 2013
There are plenty of web design tools available for small and medium sized businesses, but most of these are online services tied to specific hosts. If you prefer to create your eCommerce site locally, and host it on a service of your own choice, or even on your own servers, your choices are more limited.
SellerDeck, formally Actinic, is a desktop-based ecommerce application that has been around since 1996.

SellerDeck was founded in 1996 and is still owned by the original founders of Actinic, Chris Barling and Kevin Grumball, along with the original finance director David Dawson.
SellerDeck develops and supplies ecommerce solutions to small and mid-sized companies that want to be in full control of their online business. With the desktop application giving merchants full control over key components such as hosting, payments, fraud detection and customer feedback without having to rely on third-party, cloud-based solutions. SellerDeck currently has more than 5,000 satisfied customers.
Actinic Desktop has been rebranded as SellerDeck to differentiate it from the Actinic Online cloud-based service, which is now owned by Oxatis UK and known simply as Actinic. SellerDeck will now focus exclusively on its core ecommerce and EPOS desktop applications.
